Chopz grand opening

It used to be called Commercial Art, but we know those days are in the past. It’s Graphic Design, and there are rules—both solid and breakable—that lead to great work that looks great and works hard.
Recently, Orion Food Systems created a new restaurant concept that needed a fresh brand. The key to getting the concept right was knowing the customers and putting them first.
High-energy foods need a high-energy brand. That’s when HenkinSchultz came in to develop the concept and look of the marketing materials. We chose the name “Chopz” for the brand because it works on several levels; depending on the context, it means mouth, skills or a cut of meat. The tagline “eat to win” implies that food is fuel, but in a more interesting, competitive way. Stripes and shiny, chrome-like details gave the campaign a sports feel. We applied the new logo and look to posters, flyers, signage and an animated video.
South Dakota State University Foundation
The SDSU Foundation appealed to donors’ nostalgia during its $200 million capital campaign. The foundation used the theme “It Starts With State” to remind donors that the university is where many started their educations, careers and even marriages. That message instantly connects donors with why making a donation that will expand, strengthen and revitalize SDSU is so crucial.
Sioux Empire United Way
Regular e-mails keep Sioux Empire United Way employee campaign managers and supporters updated on the campaign’s progress. The e-newsletters report on fundraising ideas, programs supported by the Sioux Empire United Way and much more.
Sioux Falls Skyforce
Attending a Sioux Falls Skyforce home game is an exciting, fun experience. We designed the basketball team’s tickets and programs so they matched the exhilaration of being in the crowd.
Willow Run Cares Foundation
Willow Run golf course created Willow Run Cares Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting golf programs and events that help develop values, character and leadership. To create the foundation’s logo, we simplified Willow Run’s recently redesigned logo and added a pair of angel wings.
The Willow Run Cares Foundation used this poster to advertise the 2012 Don Isaacson Willow Run Cares Invitational & Long Drive Showdown. The events supported Sioux Falls high school and college golf teams and are one example of how the Willow Run Cares Foundation is making charitable giving one of its longest drives.
CTeL
“Keep it simple.” That’s the mantra we stuck to when writing and designing a membership packet that outlines the services and benefits of The Robert J. Waters Center for Telehealth & e-Health Law (CTeL). CTeL provides important legal information to businesses and healthcare providers about telehealth. The membership packet that we created showcases CTeL’s expertise and explains the value of its resources for businesses that use telehealth services. And that simplicity is a breath of fresh air when dealing with the complexities of telehealth law.
State Theatre
Supporting State Theatre’s renovations is akin to the anticipation you feel before seeing a blockbuster movie. That’s why we designed the State Theatre’s business cards to look like movie tickets—involvement with the theatre’s fundraising efforts is providing you with a ticket to help restore historic downtown Sioux Falls.
