Needed: Web Designer/Developer

HenkinSchultz is looking to hire a web designer/developer who has a bachelor’s degree in design with a web emphasis or equivalent work experience.

Good candidates have extensive knowledge of HTML5/CSS3, (PHP programming abilities are a plus). The ideal candidate needs to have experience in installing, extending and maintaining content management systems, specifically WordPress. Plus, the right person needs to be a team player who has written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks.

Core Responsibilities:

Interact extensively with client.

  • Develop and maintain entire web sites from concept to completion, including site structure and planning.
  • Design top-notch website layouts using Adobe products such as PhotoShop, Flash and Illustrator.
  • Apply design layout into content management system using standards compliant HTML5/CSS3 and PHP coding.
  • Design and create effective email marketing campaigns utilizing HTML and email marketing software.

Here’s what you’d be doing:

  • Developing and maintaining entire websites from concept to completion
  • Working closely with designers to implement artwork and refine user experience and usability of web projects
  • Developing WordPress themes/plugins
  • Juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Learning additional programming languages
  • Being an effective communicator

But to be our web developer, you’ll need this:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in web development
  • Expertise in PHP and MySQL, HTML5 Applications, and Javascript libraries (such as jQuery or MooTools). Networking/Linux server expertise is a strong plus.
